Hot rolled coil is rolled on a hot strip mill from slabs. It is further processed into finished products by the manufacturer. Hot rolled steel comes with a scaly, rough texture, non-oily surface, and slightly rounded edges and corners.
Used in a variety of industrial applications such as welding and construction trade to make railroad tracks, I-beams, and cold rolled products.
